TAGSURF PRIVACY POLICY
Your privacy is critically important to us. At tagSurf we have a few fundamental principles:
Below is our privacy policy which incorporates these goals: (Note this privacy policy is available under a Creative Commons Sharealike license originally provided by Automattic (WordPress.com), which means you’re more than welcome to repurpose it for your own use, just make sure to replace references to tagSurf with ones to your service.)
If you have questions about deleting or correcting your personal data please contact us at beta@tagSurf.co.
tagSurf Corp. (“tagSurf”) operates several websites including tagSurf.co.  It is tagSurf’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, tagSurf collects non-personally identifiable information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. tagSurf’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how tagSurf’s visitors use its website. From time to time, tagSurf may release non-personally identifiable information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
tagSurf also collects potentially PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users who post content or leave comments on tagSurf websites. tagSurf only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses all personally identifiable information as described below.
Gathering of PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
Certain visitors to tagSurf’s websites choose to interact with tagSurf in ways that require tagSurf to gather PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION. Examples of PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION include name, email address, mailing address, mobile phone number, and credit card or other billing information. PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION also includes other information, such as date of birth, geographic area, or preferences, when any such information is linked to information that identifies a specific individual. The amount and type of information that tagSurf gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for an account at tagSurf.co to provide an email address.
tagSurf may also obtain information, including PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION, from third parties and sources, such as our partners, advertisers, and public databases. If we combine or associate information from other sources with PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION that we collect through tagSurf’s websites, we will treat the combined information as PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION.
tagSurf does not disclose PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in many website-related activities.
Aggregated Statistics
tagSurf may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, tagSurf may monitor the most popular content on the tagSurf.co site or use screening services to prevent the upload of spam or Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content to tagSurf. tagSurf may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, TAGSURF DOES NOT DISCLOSE PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION OTHER THAN AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Protection of Certain PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
tagSurf discloses potentially personally identifiable and PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on tagSurf’s behalf or to provide services available at tagSurf’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using tagSurf’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. TAGSURF WILL NOT RENT OR SELL POTENTIALLY PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE AND PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION TO ANYONE.
OTHER THAN TO ITS EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND AFFILIATED ORGANIZATIONS, AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, TAGSURF ONLY DISCLOSES POTENTIALLY PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE AND PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO A SUBPOENA, COURT ORDER OR OTHER GOVERNMENTAL REQUEST, OR WHEN TAGSURF BELIEVES IN GOOD FAITH THAT DISCLOSURE IS REASONABLY NECESSARY TO PROTECT THE PROPERTY OR RIGHTS OF TAGSURF, THIRD PARTIES OR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE.
If you are a registered user of a tagSurf website and have supplied your email address, tagSurf may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with tagSurf and our products. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. tagSurf takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally identifiable and personally identifiable information.
Anonymity
Protecting user anonymity is a top priority at tagSurf. tagSurf does not disclose any PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION to non-administrative users of tagSurf websites except as documented by this privacy policy. Any links between your user account and your activity on tagSurf sites are protected through a secure separation on our servers, the key to which is only made available to select tagSurf employees and contractors for use in developing and troubleshooting our services.
If you knowingly use your tagSurf account to upload NSFW content, engage in cyber-bullying, or use tagSurf to participate in illegal activities, you waive all anonymity protection and acknowledge that in such cases we may publicly disclose some or all of your account activity in association with your PERSONALLY-IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION as is necessary to cooperate with law enforcement entities or otherwise stop such behavior as quickly as possible.
Cookies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. tagSurf uses cookies to help tagSurf identify and track visitors, their usage of tagSurf website, and their website access preferences. tagSurf visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using tagSurf’s websites, with the drawback that most features of tagSurf’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies used to authenticate server requests.

Pixel Tags allow us to count users who have visited certain pages of the Site, to deliver branded services and to help determine the effectiveness of promotional or advertising campaigns.

You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of tagSurf may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.
Ads
Ads appearing on any of our websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by tagSurf and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.
